IG AirCargo Switzerland (“we”, “us”) takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and according to the statutory data protection regulations. This data protection declaration informs you about how we process your personal data and shows our commitment to its protection. 

What data we process about you:

Basically, personal data which is generated in the course of using IG AirCargo’s services and the website www.igaircargo.ch (“our website”) is collected. Particularly, this includes:

  • Data transmitted to us by the customer in connection with the provision of services (name, e-mail address, telephone number, position within a company, correspondence and other communication with the customers, etc.)
  • Automatically transmitted or accruing usage data (date and time of access to our website, IP address, name and version of your web browser, the website (URL) you visited before accessing our website, certain cookies (see below) and the information you yourself provide by filling in contact forms).

Generally, use of our website is possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this occurs, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can be subject to security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Cookies

Some of our website uses so-called “cookies”. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. They are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser.Most of the cookies we use are “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Hosting Provider & Server Logfiles

The provider of our website automatically collects and stores information in so-called “server logfiles”, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

This data cannot be directly assigned to specific persons and will not be merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

Purpose of data processing

We will use personal data as follows:

  • to provide the services offered by IG AirCargo;
  • to make our website and services available to you and to further improve and develop them;
  • to respond to your enquiries;
  • to maintain and develop customer relationships;
  • to compile usage statistics;
  • for internal training purposes and quality control;
  • to prevent, detect and combat misuse;
  • to answer justified, official inquiries or in connection with the enforcement of claims or other legal disputes concerning IG AirCargo or in which IG AirCargo is involved. 

Transmission of your personal data

With the following exceptions, we do not pass on any personal data to third parties:

  • IT service provider used by us
  • accounting service provider used by us
  • third parties who are or will be commissioned by us to perform services
  • other third parties to whom we must pass on personal data in order to be able to perform our services in the interests of the customer.

Occasionally, and only if necessary, we may transfer personal data to foreign recipients, including to countries that do not provide the same level of data protection as Switzerland. We will only arrange for such data to be transferred abroad if it is necessary for the performance of services.

Storage of personal data

We will retain personal information for as long as we reasonably believe is necessary to achieve the purposes set out above, as permitted by applicable law, and whilst it is subject to legal preservation, or when the statute of limitations for potential legal claims has not expired. 

Right to information, deletion, blocking

You have the right at any time to receive free information about your stored personal data, its origin and any recipients of it, the purpose of any data processing as well as the right to demand correction, blocking or deletion of this data or certain restrictions on processing, to object to the processing of your personal data or to demand the transfer of your personal data to another owner.
