Due to the postponement of our 9th National Air Cargo Day to January 2027, we are moving our traditional fondue dinner up to November. On November 19, 2026, we will visit Lufthansa Aviation Training in Glattbrugg (Zurich Airport). For good two hours, we’ll get a unique behind-the-scenes look at the crew training center, including that of SWISS (https://www.lufthansa-aviation-training.com/de/home).

In addition to the tour of the pilot and cabin crew training facilities, we’ll be shown the processes and training methods that shape airline operations. As special experience, participants will be given a small task to complete, which will surely make this visit a memorable one.

Following the tour, the fondue dinner will once again take place in a cozy and friendly atmosphere among friends at Baracca-Zermatt (www.baracca-zermatt.ch/kloten) in Kloten.

The preceding tour of the LAT involves costs that would place an additional burden on the budget. For this reason, participation requires a contribution of CHF 45.00 per person. The fondue dinner, however, is once again offered by IGAC. Members from our sections in Geneva or Basle are most welcome!

The number of participants is limited to 45—therefore, early registration is recommended (“first come, first served”) – maximum two persons per member and section.
